Washington snapshots [day 2]

Yesterday morning, we all went to the Smithsonian museum of natural history, wading through 95% humidity that made rain not worth mentioning. I only stayed for the ant exhibit, but my family had a terrific whole day there! The ant exhibit is actually quite small but the pictures are terrific. On the way there, we crossed a group of tourists on Sedgways, a insight on a new species of humans?!

I again regretted not having a small camera with me when running this morning, for I saw a huge heron taking off only a few feet from me and flying across the Potomac river towards the War Memorial there. Dinner yesterday was at the Capital City Brewing Co., where the beer was an amazing $6 a pint. This is definitely not England! (But food was much cheaper.)
