India snapshot (#13)
This is a detail of the carvings on the colourful walls of the Gwalior Fort, named Man Mandir. It took us a long while to reach the fort on foot, but the snapshots of Gwalior daily life and the climb to the elephant gate were definitely worth it. The plateau surrounded by the fort walls also enjoys several temples, both hindu and sikh. The second gate leads down to several Jain statues (thirthankaras) carved in the rock.
